Storytelling Games

Dixit

Storytelling is the name of the game in Dixit, winner of both the French and Spanish board game of the year. On each turn, one player becomes the storyteller. This player makes up a sentence from one of the six interesting and abstract images in his hand. The other players select from amongst their six images the one that best matches the sentence made up by the storyteller. They each then give their chosen image to the storyteller who shuffles and lays the images down on the table. Everyone then votes on which image they think is the storyteller's. Points are scored (or not scored) based on vote tallies. The game ends when the last card has been drawn. The player who is the furthest on the scoring track wins Dixit!Dixit makes a great party game and is perfect for family game night!Contents ofDixit:1 Game Board84 Cards36 Voting Tokens in 6 Different Colors6 Wooden RabbitsInstructions in English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian

Once Upon a Time Card Game

Here’s your excuse to tell a really good yarn to a captive audience. The Once Upon a Time Card Game has 168 cards that feature story elements from classic fairy tales. (See inset photo.) As the Storyteller, you weave your story plot around the cards in your hand, discarding them as you use them, working your way toward an empty hand and the final “Happily Ever After” card.
Of course, no fairy tale is without problems, and yours will likely begin when your opponents start interrupting your story and steering it a different direction. Play all your cards, end the story, and win the game.
This game is great fun for two or more players, ages 6 and up, and will especially appeal to fantasy buffs, role-playing gamers, writers, actors, and anyone with an active imagination or a silver tongue!
If you like the eerie side of Faerie, mix in our new expansion deck, “Once Upon a Time Card Game – Dark Tales.”

Origin Of Expressions

If you enjoy playing word bluffing games, then Origin of Expressions will be right up your alley! After listening to an expression, you must make up an origin to the phrase. Your goal is to fool your opponents into thinking your "origin" is the correct answer, while simultaneously "taking a stab" at the right answer. Players receive points based on how many people guessed their answer and if they guess the right one. Often the real answer can be surprising, entertaining, or absurd so don't be afraid to "spin a great yarn"!
