AXIS and ALLIES - 1942

It's spring 1942, the world is at war, and Axis and Allies allows you to take the fate of the world into your own hands! Germany and Japan are aligned against the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, and the United States. Victory belongs not only to the side that conquers it's opponents on the battlefield, but also to the player who seizes the most enemy territory. This updated version of the WWII classic features a redesigned map, and 370 playing pieces including artillery, destroyers, and new models for cruisers. Updated naval unit rules as debuted in Axis and Allies Anniversary Edition are included.

AXIS and ALLIES - D-DAY

Axis and Allies - D-Day is a new release of the most popular WWII game of all time! This version can be described as more tactical than the original Axis and Allies game. Instead of a global strategy, Axis and Allies - D-Day focuses on an area 100 miles on a side, smaller than most single spaces on the original Axis and Allies map. Individual units represent actual forces that fought on the beaches and in the towns. Every unit has a designator stating which historical military unit it represents, such as the 101st Airborne Division. When you lose a unit, you do not ever get it back. Because there is no economic activity in this game, you have only the troops at hand to make your victory happen. Worse, you must do it in a set amount of time. The Allies must launch their invasion and defeat the German forces within a limited number of turns or the Wehrmacht wins. The fate of the world hangs in the balance. Are you ready?

Contents of Axis and Allies - D-Day:

48 tactical cards

DIPLOMACY - 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

Diplomacy is a board game of international (and quite personal) trust, promises, and outright treachery. It's the turn of the 20th century and the seven Great European Powers are vying for dominance. Players of Diplomacy represent England, Germany, Russia, Turkey, Italy, France, or Austria-Hungary prior to World War I.

At the beginning of each turn, players meet together in small groups to discuss their plans and suggest strategies. This is where alliances are openly or secretly made and orders are coordinated. Immediately thereafter, each player secretly writes an order for each of his or her units on a slip of paper. When all of the orders have been written, they are simultaneously revealed and then resolved. At this point, some army or naval units are moved, some are forced to retreat, and some are removed.

Each turn represents six months of time. The first turn is called a Spring turn and the next a Fall turn. After each Fall turn, each Great Power must reconcile the number of military units it controls with the number of Supply Centers it controls. This is when some units are removed and new ones built.

In order to survive, a player will need the help of others, and that will require negotiations, the forming of alliances, and promises - some will be kept and some will be broken. You've got an agenda, and a little back stabbing here and there can't be all bad, especially if it gets you closer to supremacy! The object of Diplomancy is to control the 18 Supply Centers, and in the end, the Great Power that manges to accomplish this tricky task through clever cunning wins the game.

Although Diplomacy is best played with seven players, rules for fewer players are included in the "Alternate Way to Play" section of the rulebook.

Tannhauser

Tannhauser is a stand alone war game that plummets the player into the "U-Chronic Universe," which is an alternate universe that closely resembles our own, yet with enough contrast to grab the imagination. The year is 1949, in this U-Chronic Universe, and World War 1 is still in progress. The characters of this game must now continue the fight, some thirty-five years later - amidst the backdrop of war-torn surroundings.
A distinguishing feature of this game is its cutting edge "Pathfinding System." It is composed of colored circles on the board, that allow players to determine who can do what and where. This allows players to forego the effort of referring to the instructions and wasting time. There are four different modes of play, and each one of those has three levels of difficulty - adding to the variety of the game. Individual character boards help keep scoring, equipment, and skills accounted for. There are five evil characters and five good characters to chose from. The objective of the game is to keep the bad characters from winning and dominating the world!

Keep a look out for the expansions that are easily integrated into the game!

TWILIGHT STRUGGLE - THE COLD WAR

In 1945, unlikely allies toppled Hitler's war machine, while humanity's most devastating weapons forced the Japanese Empire to its knees in a storm of fire. Where once there stood many great powers, there now stood only two - the United States and the Soviet Union. The world had scant months to collectively sigh in relief before a new conflict threatened. Unlike the titanic struggles of the preceding decades, this conflict would be waged not primarily by soldiers and tanks, but by spies and politicians, scientists and intellectuals, artists and traitors. Twilight Struggle is a two-player game simulating the 45 year dance of intrigue, prestige, and occasional flares of warfare between the USSR and the USA. The entire world is the stage on which these two titans fight. The game begins amidst the ruins of Europe as the two new superpowers scramble over the wreckage of WWII and ends in 1989, when only the United States remained standing.
