TICKET TO RIDE

Your goal is the collect cards of different types of train cars that you then use to lay claim to railway routes in North America. The longer your route, the more points you earn. You can also get more points by fulfilling "destination tickets" which are goal cards connecting distant cities (ex. New York to Salt Lake City). Each turn you draw more cards, clam a route or get more Destination Tickets. You have to balance greed with speed! Ticket to Ride won the prestigious "Speil des Jahres" (Game of the Year) award in Germany for 2004.

TICKET TO RIDE - MARKLIN

Ticket to Ride - Marklin is the third installment in Days of Wonder's best-selling board game series that has won 14 international game awards, including the prestigious Spiel des Jahres!  The board map for the Marklin Edition is based on a map of Germany and introduces Passengers and Merchandise to the Ticket to Ride gameplay.  Other game play changes are the vertical orientation of the German map, and instead of a bonus for longest route, the 10 point bonus card goes to the player who completes the most Destination Tickets.  While board-gamers may not be familiar with the Marklin name, train hobbyists consider it the premier name in the model train world.
